2. Job requirements
- Good communication and customer-service skills.
- Previous waiter, food-service or hotel experience preferred; some employers consider freshers.
- Basic knowledge of restaurant service and table etiquette.
- Ability to understand menus and communicate orders accurately.
- Polite behaviour, grooming, punctuality and a professional attitude.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in shifts.
- Teamwork and the ability to work during busy service hours.
- Basic English communication is beneficial; additional languages are an advantage.
- Hospitality training or a hotel management qualification is preferred but not always mandatory.
- Valid passport and ability to meet the employer's visa and medical requirements.
