2. Job requirements
- Relevant professional kitchen experience, preferably in hotels, resorts or restaurants.
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or senior kitchen supervisor is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of one or more cuisines, such as Indian, Continental, Arabic or Asian.
- Good leadership, team supervision and communication skills.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, inventory management and kitchen cost control.
- Ability to manage busy service periods and work under pressure.
- Culinary arts or hotel management qualification is an advantage.
- Basic English communication skills; stronger communication may be required by some employers.
- Valid passport and ability to meet the employer's visa and medical requirements.
